Hojicha
Hojicha is a green tea renowned for its rich flavor and alluring deep smoky scent. It is reported that a tea trader attempted roasting the leftover leaves, stems, stalks, and twigs in the 1920s to make the most of them.
As a result of the experiment's success, Hojicha was created. Hojicha is now used to make lattes, ice-cream and baked goods.
