Peppermint (Mentha × piperita) is an aromatic herb in the mint family that is a cross between watermint and spearmint. Since ancient times, people have enjoyed its pleasant, minty flavor and health advantages. It is a native of Europe and Asia. Within the pharmaceutical community, many home remedies were written off as old wives tales, but recent studies has shown that mint is great for digestion, and the common cold.
