Eight Ways Herbal Loose Teas are Used:

You can use herbal tea out of just one herb or increase the benefits by combining them.

Infusion or Tea Bag: The most common way to prepare loose tea herbs. Simply steep the herbs in hot water for 3-5 minutes using a tea strainer or tea bag.

Cold brew involves steeping tea herbs in cold water for an extended time, typically 12-24 hours. As a result, the flavor is lighter and smoother.

Decoction: Use this method for tougher herbs such as roots and bark. To extract the medicinal properties of the herbs, simply simmer them in water for 20-30 minutes.

Poultices/Compresses: Loose tea can create poultices or compresses, topical treatments that involve applying a moistened mixture of herbs to the skin. It's important to remember that using loose tea as a poultice or compress may vary depending on the herbs used and the individual's unique health needs.

Steam Inhalation: To open up the sinuses, add a few drops of essential oil or dried herbs to a bowl of hot water and inhale the steam.

Tincture: To extract the medicinal properties of herbs, soak them in alcohol for several weeks.

Powder: For an easy way to consume the herbs, grind them into a powder and add them to smoothies, juices, or food.

Capsules: For easy consumption, the powdered herbs are filled into capsules.
